A device for the pneumatic splicing of yarns, especially elastane yarns, has a splicing body defining a splicing conduit loadable with compressed air, as well as with pneumatic tubes for pneumatically preparing the yarn ends to be spliced, wherein the central axes of the pneumatic tubes intersect the central longitudinal plane of the splicing conduit. The pneumatic tubes are replaceably fixed in bores of the splicing body, with the inlet opening of the pneumatic tubes positioned in the immediate vicinity of one of the two outlets of the splicing conduit. The inlet opening of the pneumatic tube has a funnel-shaped contour that promotes insertion of the cut ends of the upper and lower yarns into the pneumatic tubes. |
