    A process for preparing the optimal wafer-type antenna designed by gene algorithm includes using gene algorithm to encode the microstrip antennas on ceramic substrate to become multiple cell groups used as the chromosomes, mutual mating, detecting their characteristics, choosing optimal chromosomes, mating again, repeating the mating and screening several times to obtain optimal chromosomes, decoding to obtain the microstrip antenna shape with optimal physical property, and making the antenna. Its advantages are sipmle process, low cost and optical physical properties.
