The present invention discloses a clip type connector. The object is to reduce the erroneous connection condition of the contacts between a cable terminal and a clip type connector, and improve the operability of the connection. The clip type connector in accordance with the present invention includes: a circuit substrate 30 having a front part arranged with contacts and circuit pattern connected to the patterns; a frame itself for receiving the circuit substrate 30, and having a substrate supporting face 11 for supporting the circuit substrate 30, a contacting opposite face 16 which is opposite to and has a gap with the contacts for receiving the circuit substrate, a cable insertion opening 14 for receiving the terminal of the flexible cable 1 to be connected, and frame bodies 10, 20 for guiding the terminal of the flexible cable to the cable guiding slot 15 of the gap; and a pushing mechanism 50 for pushing between the contact arrangement face and contact opposite face 16 of the circuit board 30, and maintaining the terminal of the flexible cable 1 or releasing the pushing and maintaining status. |
