The invention provides an inexpensive stator supporting mechanism in a brushless motor by fixing a cap member and a stator core to a bearing housing firmly with good reliability in simplified structure, and doing away with the process of calking or bonding, and a method of manufacturing this supporting mechanism. A bearing housing 1 is press-fitted in the mounting hole 2a of a stator base 2, and a mounting part 1a is fixed to the stator base by calking or the like. Moreover, a circuit board 3 is mounted on the opposite side from the mounting partof the bearing housing of the stator base. Moreover, the center hole 5a of the stator core 5, which is received on the step 1b of the peripheral large-diameter part of the bearing housing 1 and on which a coil 4 is wound, fits on the peripheral middle diameter part 1c of the bearing housing 1. Moreover, a bearing 6 is press-fitted at the inside periphery 1d of the bearing so as to bear a rotary shaft 7. A cap member 9 is attached into the opening 1e of the bearing 1 so as to catch an oil packing 8 and a stator core. |
