A rotor structure for a permanent magnet synchronous motor having a concentrated winding stator structure, characterized in that slits (13) provided in the cross-section of a rotor which is laminated in the direction of the rotary shaft are arcuate or bow-shaped with their projections directed to the outer peripheral side of the rotor (12), with permanent magnets (14) inserted in the slits (13); as compared with the conventional rotor structure, the magnetic salient-pole is reduced, providing a low-loss high-efficiency motor with a core having a reduced magnetic flux density. |
