    The invention discloses a method to realize location-updating register. It applies in the superposition network that includes at least CDMA 1x network and High Ratio Packet Data (HRPD) traffic network. The method includes: the 1x/DO dual -modulus which is in the state of activate in HRPD network sends location updating request in the CDMA2000 1x network to HRPD network and stop the invocation of the dual-modulus terminal to make the dual-modulus has a idle time for the location updating register of the CDMA2000 1x on in the situation of unreleasing the channel resource of the HRPD network occupied by the dual-modulus terminal. The method makes the dual-modulus terminal in the activate state can still pickup the voice calling of the CDMA2000 1x network location area changes, and avoid the situation that the 1x/DO dual-modulus terminal located in the HRPD network and in the activate state can not call the dual-modulus terminal caused by the disability of the CDMA2000 1x location updating.
