The invention relates to method for providing intelligent service at GPRS supported node under condition of CAMEL Phase 3 not supported by HLR of service provider. The method includes (1) data configuration table is setup at SGSN, the table indicates mode of SGSN for supporting function of CAMEL Phase 3 when HLR does not support CAMEL Phase 3; (2) when user initiates an attachment, SGSN sends request of updating position to HLR; HLR inserts user signed data; if the said user signed data have no CAMEL signed data and HLR does not support CAMEL, then operation is carried out based on content in the configuration table; (3) when terminal triggers CAMEL DP point, request is sent to relevant SCP based on inserted CAMEL signed data so as to complete intelligent service. In case of HLR not supporting CAMEL, the invention makes SGSN support wireless intelligent service as far as possible in large area. |
