To provide an organic EL display eliminating a wide-range luminance unevenness generated on its surface, especially, a linear one, at least to the eye. The organic EL display includes: an insulated base plate; a common electrode formed on the insulated base plate; a first electrode layer formed in a region in the vicinity of the common electrode electrically insulated from the same; an insulation layer coating the insulated base plate opening a first open window with a part of the common electrode exposed, and a second open window with at least a part of the first electrode layer exposed; insulated barrier ribs forming cell regions surrounding each open window across the common electrode on the insulated base plate; a material layer formed on the first electrode layer exposed from the second open window; and a second electrode layer electrically connected with the common electrode through the first open window. |
