    The invention relates to three degrees of freedom parallel mechanism used to normalize the position of the work space, can be used as the position actuating mechanism of the five degrees of freedom parallel series machine tool. It is mainly made up of moving platform, stander, and three driving branched chains. The first driving branched chain is made up of moving set assistant, side link, hooke pivot, and connecting rod. The second and third driving branched chains are added ball pivot, and connected to the moving platform by it. In the mechanism, the moving set in each of the driving branched chains is set as the driving knuckle. Three axial lines of the moving set are mutual perpendicular and joined at a point. At the same time, the connecting line between the rigid coupling point which is between the first driving branched chains and the moving platform and the geometry center of the moving platform is normal to the connecting line between the center point of the ball pivot at the second and third driving branched chains and the geometry center of the moving platform at the same time; and the connecting line between the center point of the ball pivot at the second and third driving branched chains is normal to the connecting line of the geometry center point of the platform. The features of the invention are that its composition is simple; and there is no moving interference among each of the branched chains.
