The invention provides a disk device in which excellent recording and reproducing characteristics of an optical disk are obtained. A disk device 1 has a device main body equipped with a casing 22 and a top plate (lid) 23 for covering an upper portion of the casing and a disk tray having a disk housing part 111 for housing an optical disk D and installed movably to the device main body through an opening 240 formed on a front face of the device main body and on the top plate 23, a projection 231 formed to gradually decrease a cross-sectional area toward the top is provided within an area which corresponds to the disk housing part when the disk tray 11 is inserted into the device main body 2 to be protruded towards the inside of the device main body 2. |
