    This invention relates to a method for realizing position refreshment in a CDMA2000 high rate packet data service (HRPD) including the following steps: a, AT judges if the ANID in the AN overhead message is the same with the ANID stored in AT, if so, step f is carried out, if not, the position refreshment flow is carried out. By this invention, HRPD position refreshment process can be added up completely. The terminal knows the current ANID when receiving overhead message, therefore, the terminal can start the position refreshment process actively when ANID changes.
