A television receiver capable of receiving multimedia information by using existing appliances such as facsimiles. The invention also provides a receiving device, a transmission/reception method, an information storage device, a television broadcasting receiving device, and an information storage method which can transmit multimedia information. As shown in the figure, the operation of the television receiver comprises the processes of (61) receiving image information inclusive of a scheme identifier through a telephone line, (44) extracting the scheme identifier from the image information received, (45) searching a scheme memory for the scheme corresponding to the received identifier, (46) combining the scheme with other portions of the image information, and (33) for displaying the image so combined. |
