The present invention relates to a preparation method for carrier of hydrogenation catalyst. The mean pore size of said carrier is 7-12 nm, and its pore volume is 0.7-1.2 ml/g, surface area is 250-500 sq.m/g. Said invention is applicable to heavy distillate hydrodesulphurization, hydrodenitrification, hydrodemetallization, aromatics saturation catalyst carriers and hydrocracking catalyst carrier.
