A ratchet wrench assembly for use with a tap and a die, comprising a wrench having a first handle and a head at one end of the first handle that defines an opening therethrough. A ratchet ring is disposed in the head opening such that the ratchet ring rotates with respect to the head portion in a first direction and a second direction. The ratchet ring defines a substantially cylindrical inner engaging surface having a rib projecting radially inwardly therefrom. An adapter includes a lower portion for receiving one of the tap and the die and a barrel portion defining a depression in an outer surface. The ratcheting ring slidably receives the barrel portion therein and the adapter is therefore rotationally fixed to the ratchet ring by the rib and the depression. |
