The invention provides an electron emission device with focusing electrode and method for manufacturing same. The electron emission device includes: a cathode electrode, formed through depositing the conducting material on the substrate; a first insulating layer, formed through coating the insulating material on the cathode electrode, to form the holes in a definite number to expose part of the cathode electrode; a grid electrode, formed by depositing the metallic material on the first insulating layer; a second insulating layer, formed in the region of the grid electrode, wherein the area corresponds to the outline of the hole with definite number in the first insulating layer; a focusing electrode, formed on the second insulating layer, made of metallic materials and distributed to the scheduled region with different size; an electron emission unit, formed in the hole with definite number wherein the holes make the cathode electrode exposed. Thereby, the position formed according to the electron emission unit by the focusing electrode is divided to the region with definite number, the beam focusing of the eradiated electron and the beam diameter are improved. |
