    An energy-saving electric rice cooker is composed of an internal pot, an electric heater, a temp detector, a timer, and a controller with a special energy-saving program. Said energy-saving program has at least two temp and/or time settings (T1 and T2). When the detected temp is lower than T1, the heater is working at high power. When the detected temp is between T1 and T2, the heater is working at low power or is not working.
