A method for adhering a masking film to a surface is disclosed, which includes the following steps: (a) proving a masking film having a first suiface and a second surface, wherein (i) the first surface has a smooth surface containing no adhesive coating and comprises 30-80 wt% of at least one thermoplastic elastomer having saturated rubber mid-block selected from the group consisting of styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene, styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene, styrene-ethylene/propylene and styrene-ethylene/butylene; (ii) the second surface has a rough surface; and (b) adhering the masking film removably to a surface having grain with a surface roughness more than about 150 Ra. |
