The invention disclosed an apparatus and method for measuring received signal strength of mobile communication terminal. In a traditional technique, an error occurs in displaying the received signal strength which is caused by the unstable rf circuit when the signal strength is detected in a start mode origined from a sleep mode. With a view to the problems, in the present invention, a detecting time when the start mode is determined to switch into the sleep mode is established according to the result of the information decoding of the addressing channel, meanwhile, the signal strength of the rf circuit is detected and outputted before the switchpoint, as a result, a normal signal strength is detected and the signal waveform is displayed stably. |
