    The object of the present invention is to reduce the probability of file name duplication among files generated by a plurality of units. A file name generating unit to which the present invention relates is provided with a UMID generating part(12) for generating a globally unique identifier and a file name generating part(14) for generating a file name including the globally unique identifier generated by the UMID generating part(12).
