    An optical device for reading optical indicia, includes: an optical imager including a first wireless transceiver and a base unit including a second wireless transceiver in communication with the first wireless transceiver. The base unit is configured to receive the optical imager and position the optical imager in an orientation so that the optical imager may be used in a presentation mode.
