The present invention provides a character string/material correspondence table showing a pair of material data used for creating computer graphics and a material name of the material data, and a hierarchical-structure description describing characteristics of the material data in a hierarchical structure. When a characteristic is inputted, material data for the characteristic is searched by using the hierarchical-structure description and the material data searched is stored. The searched material data and the material name of the material data are registered in the character string/material correspondence table. When a material name is inputted, material data corresponding to the material name is acquired by using the character string/material correspondence table and computer graphic is created by using the material data acquired. |
