This invention discloses a method for hydrogenating gasoline. The method comprises: (1) fractioning gasoline raw material to obtain light gasoline fraction and heavy gasoline fraction, washing the light gasoline fraction with an alkali and refining to remove thiol in it; (2) contacting the heavy gasoline fraction and hydrogen with a hydrogenation catalyst, and performing hydrogenation defulfutization and hydrogenation modification; (3) cooling the products, separating and recycling the hydrogen-rich gas; (4) sending the separated liquid into a stabilizing column, and mixing the effluent from the bottom of the stabilizing colum and the thiol-removed light gasoline fraction to obtain gasoline product. The method can maintain a high desulfurization rate, while the octane number loss is kept minimal. The sulfur content in the gasoline product is lower than 150 ppm, and the olefin content is lower than 18 vol. %, thus the gasoline product satisfies European III emission standards. |
