    This invention relates to a vanadium inhibitor for gas turbines using heavy oil. The vanadium inhibitor is composed of hydrocarbon solvent, magnesium compound, and surface modifier and dispersant for aiding combustion. Compared with present vanadium inhibitors, the vanadium inhibitor in this invention has such advantages as high magnesium content (not lower than 20%), stable quality, no crystal precipitation and no blockage to gas channels.
