    The present invention provides an electro-optical device capable of enlarging the range of color reproduction and improving briliancy. The electro-optical device, such as a liquid crystal display device, comprises a liquid crystal panel and an illuminating device. The illuminating device illuminates the liquid crystal display panel by light transmission. In the liquid crystal display panel, a display pixel is composed of five sub-pixels including red(R), green(G), blue(B), turquoise(C)and transparency(W). The sub-pixel of C is adopted to enlarge the range of color reproduction and prevent the briliancy of the G light, which has a high visibility to people, from decreasing. The sub-pixel of W is adopted to prevent the briliancy of the whole display picture from decreasing caused by the increasing of splitting number of one display pixel.
