The washing machine is provided with: a rotary drum having a revolution center axis in a horizontal direction or an inclined direction; a motor for driving the rotary drum; a revolution speed detection means which is fitted to the shaft of the motor and takes out a plurality of signals by once revolution; and a control means for controlling driving of the motor. The control means is provided with a fabric balancing process for starting the motor to a prescribed revolution speed to stick laundry articles to the inside of the rotary drum, and detects a conduction angle for controlling the motor to the prescribed revolution speed. Then, a revolution detection means corrects a revolution speed fluctuation width in the case of driving the motor at this conduction angle by a movement average revolution speed per once revolution of the motor to judge the fabric balance. |
