    A method for realizing network transmission and synchronous play of multipath audio / video data includes carrying out MPEG - 4 and ADPCM compression separately on multipath video signal and multipath audio signal, structuring data packet and labeling time seal for carrying out network transmission, receiving data and decompressing data as well as error-synchronization controlling data at client end and finally playing it out. The system for realizing said method comprises server end software, client end software and audio / video playing control element.
