Disclosed is a method for controlling the display of an image according to the movement of a mobile terminal, which includes an image enlargement/reduction, image search and display of a portion of an image according to the movement of the mobile terminal. The method comprises the steps of: detecting a movement of the mobile terminal during display of an image; determining whether a predetermined period of time has elapsed after detection of the movement; enlarging/reducing the image or searching images stored in the mobile terminal according to the direction of movement of the mobile terminal, if another movement is detected before elapse of the predetermined period of time; and displaying a portion of the image selected according to the direction of movement of the mobile terminal, if another movement is not detected before elapse of the predetermined period of time. |
