The invention relates to an apparatus for preventing conflict of CP (client provisioning) data in a portable terminal and a method thereof. For the portable terminal which receives CP data from each source of a devices management (DM) server, a wireless application protocol (WAP) server and a memory card, performs initial register (set) of a portable terminal, the invention includes: a wireless communication unit performing wireless communication with the DM server and the WAP server and receiving CP data under a initial register mode of the portable terminal; a (U)SIM (subscriber identify module card interface conneted with a (U)SIM card mounted in the portable terminal; a storage unit storing corresponding CP data required for performing the initial register mode; a control unit which assigns the received CP data from the DM server among the received CP data from each source to a most preferable process order, assigns the received CP data from the WAP server and the (U)SIM card to process priority orders according to a choice of users, then performs the initial register mode; a display unit displaying picture data genetated during the process of performing programs under the initial register mode. |
