A method of producing a radial anisotropic cylinder sintered magnet in which residual magnetic flux density in the radial direction of a cylinder increases or decreases at a cycle of 90ae along the peripheral direction of the cylinder, and the maximum value of radial-direction residual magnetic flux densities along the entire periphery of the cylinder is 0.95-1.60T with the minimum value of radial-direction residual magnetic flux densities being 50-95% of the maximum value, comprising the steps of using a ferromagnetic material as the core material of a mold, and molding and sintering magnetic powder filled in a mold cavity by applying an oriented magnetic field to the magnetic powder by a horizontal magnetic field vertical molding method; and a method of producing permanent magnet motor-use cylinder multi-pole magnet comprising the step of magnetizing the above magnet so that the boundary between the N pole and the S pole is located within a peripheral range of +-10ae of a radial direction in which a residual magnetic flux density shows a minimum value. |
