    The invention provides a digital auto gain control method and circuit using equalizer, obtaining I-channel gain signal (IAGC)I and Q-channel gain signal (QAGC) from I-channel input data signal (IFIR) and Q-channel input data signal (QFIR) by the auto gain control circuit, outputting the IAGC and QAGC signals to the equalizer and obtaining data symbol after judgment and simultaneously feeding the equalizer-generated I-channel error signal (IERR) and Q-channel error signal (QERR) to the auto gain control circuit to regulate data signal strength. And it can reduce system complexity and simultaneously speed up ring convergence.
