The invention relates to a decoder with PIM function, comprising PIM processing unit for making the decoder join/leave multicast group; and a real-time monitoring system adopting the decoder comprises: monitoring terminal, multicast network, control server and client end with decoder, where the decoder receives the control server-issued configuration information containing multicast source address and multicast group address and generates corresponding PIM join/prune message and issues the message to the multicast network, which applies PIM SSM to build/prune shortest multicast path between the decoder and monitoring terminal so as to unicast the monitoring terminal/stop the unicast. And it does not require client end to support IGMP protocol and has no special requirements for edge equipment, and can apply PIM SSM on the condition that the edge equipment and client end do not support IGMPv3. |
