The invention relates to a cellphone with a function of automatically regulating LCD illumination, where the automatic lightness regulator of display part of a camera cellphone comprises the parts of: camera part, A/D converter, mapping part, control part, keypad part and LCD driver; and its control method comprises the stages of: determining peripheral brightness by camera; calculating appropriate brightness level data of display device by the current detected peripheral brightness signal; and automatic brightness regulation for multi-stage regulating brightness level of the display device according to the calculated data. And it can effectively prevent unnecessary power consumption for LCD illumination and has an effect of enhancing power saving function of cellphone battery. |
