    The invention provides a system of expanding capacity and automatically registering peg count task for telecom equipment, comprising configuration module and peg count module, where there is configuration synchronization channel built between the configuration module and peg count module, and when the configuration information is modified, the configuration module informs the peg count module of automatically refreshing peg count task. And it also provides a method of expanding capacity and automatically registering peg count task. When a user adds or deletes the registered configuration object instance in the peg count task, the peg count module can be informed about this and correspondingly modifies object instance information in the peg count task. This process needs no user interference but is automatically completed by equipment, able to reduce the influence on the peg count results caused by system configuration modification to the least. And it can reduce workload of telecom equipment maintenance and raises equipment maintaining efficiency.
