    The invention relates to an electric hand tool (10) comprising a housing (12) from which an electric cable (22) projects. The aim of the invention is to render one such hand tool safer for the user thereof. To this end, the electric cable (22) comprises illuminants (21,26, 28, 30) along the longitudinal extension of the periphery thereof, and can thus be easily identified in the dark by the human eye due to the light emitted by the illuminants.
