A preform which comprises two or more superposed layers of a reinforcing-fiber base made of at least reinforcing fiber yarns, has a resin material comprising a thermoplastic resin as the main component and disposed between the reinforcing-fiber base layers of the preform, and has through-holes extending through the reinforcing-fiber base layers in the thickness direction for the preform; and an FRP formed from this preform. The preform has improved impregnability in the thickness direction. A stabler-quality FRP excellent in both of various mechanical properties and matrix resin impregnation can hence be produced with high productivity. |
