    The invention relates to a printing blanket having a dimensionally stable carrier plate, whose ends can be fixed to a transfer cylinder, and has a coating, which is attached to the carrier plate and which forms the lateral surface of the transfer cylinder, whereby a recess is located between the ends of the printing cloth.
