    The invention discloses a labels inventory device and improving method to improve the efficiency of avoid-collision in the EPC Gen2 standards. the method includes: (1) the reader unlocks the inventory cycle, and decides the participating label;(2) setting the initial values of slot counter, and resetting the correct reception counter and the collision occurred counter to wait for the label response;(3) making a judgment according to the label response information, and changing the value of counter correspondingly;(4) determining whether the inventory cycle ends, and if not, determine the counter parameters that need to inventory labels. It consists of a reader, including: slot counter, correct reception counter, and collision occurred counter. The invention can forcedly terminate sending the redundant instructions exceeding the maximum of counter, and give method to determine the parameters of counter for continues inventory and make a judgment of inventory end.
