    A multi-piece golf ball comprising a core (3), an intermediate layer (5) and a cover (7) is characterized in that the core (3) comprises a spherical main body (9) and a plurality of ribs (11) formed on the main body (9), recessed portions surrounded by the ribs (11) are filled with the intermediate layer (5), and the hardness of the intermediate layer (5) is lower than that of the core (3). This multi-piece golf ball travels a longer distance.
