    A method for preparing coloured materials in powder form for the manufacture of ceramic articles, comprising the following operative steps: preparing neutral slip; feeding a predetermined quantity of said neutral slip into a liquid-solid mixer (40); feeding a metered quantity of colorant material in powder form into said liquid-solid mixer (40); and mixing together the neutral slip and colorant material in powder form in the liquid-solid mixer (40), to obtain coloured slip.
