    A method for detecting shortage of refrigerant in air-conditioner includes comparing indoor / outdoor pipe temperature stored under certain operation condition with measured temperature of indoor / outdoor pipe and judging that refrigerant is under shortage state if temperature difference between stored temperature and measured temperature is over certain scope.
