又名苯乙酸(反式-3，7-二甲基-2，6-辛二烯)烷。无色至淡黄色液体，分子量272.39。密度0.98g/cm3。闪点99℃。不溶于水。溶于油和醇。以1:4溶于90％乙醇。具有类似玫瑰和蜂蜜的香气。
生产方法：主要采用合成法。以苯乙酰氯和香叶醇为原料，进行合成反应而得。
用途：酯类合成香料。主要用作风信子、百合、水仙、丁香等花香型及东方型香精的调合香料。
