又名丁子香酚甲醚、4-烯丙基藜芦醚。学名1，2-二甲氧基-4-烯丙基苯。无色液体。分子量178.23。密度1.03g/cm3。沸点240℃。不溶于水。溶于醇和油。以1:4溶于60％乙醇；以 1:2溶于70％乙醇。与乙二醇、丁子香酚、苯甲酸等形成共沸混合物。具有类似丁子香、康乃馨的香气，味苦辣。
生产方法：主要采用甲基化法。以丁子香酚和硫酸二甲酯为原料，在氢氧化钠水溶液中进行甲基化反应，然后经中和、洗涤、蒸馏而得。
用途：醚类合成香料，主要用作依兰、香石竹、丁香等香精的调合香料，也可闻作丁子香酚、异丁子香酚的矫香剂。
