制备方法：由乙醛和乙醇在无水氯化钙和少量的无机酸存在下作用而得油状物，经无水碳酸钾干燥，再经分馏，收集101-103.5℃馏分，即为成品。
用途：乙缩醛可作溶剂使用，也用于染料、塑料、香料的合成和保护醛基的有机合成中。
