制备方法：由乙烯和丁二烯经催化反应而得。乙烯和丁二烯在溶剂甲苯中反应，催化剂为氯化钴、氯化磷、三乙基铝，反应浊度为80-104℃，压力为3.92MPa。产品中除1,4-已二烯外，还含少量变，4-已二烯和碳八双烯类。
用途：用作乙丙胶的第三单体。
