性质：该品为无色透明流动性液体。沸点为123-124℃，相对密度0.877(20/4℃)，折光率0.391。在23℃时，可溶于325倍水中。能与醇、醚、氯仿、石油醚混溶。有强烈的香蕉、李子等水果香味。

制备方法：将异戊醇和硫酸加至甲酸中，酯化即得。

用途：用于配制各种食用果实香精，适量用于日用化妆香精。也用作树脂和纤维酯类的溶剂。
