制备方法：正己酸与乙醇在硫酸存在下进行酯化反应，再经中和、水洗、分馏得成品。正己酸可用仲辛醇由硝酸氧化制得。
用途：该品用作溶剂、有机合成中间体和香料。具有曲香、菠萝香型的香气，用于配制食用、烟草香精以及用于曲酒调香。
